Passion for Writing

I’ve been writing since I was about 11 years old, but began the “business” of writing around 1997. I’ve written/published an article for a medical journal (after two years of research), had been a columnist for a military paper, and done my fair share of volunteer newsletters, but most undertakings were all about the facts. And, I prefer stories. I enjoy dreaming of ordinary people doing the extraordinary. I enjoy dreaming period. And, I love bringing my dreams to life. Most of my novels and screenplays have originated from an actual dream I’ve had. Some I dreamt over and over, night after night, adding new scenes, or “chapters,” onto the existing structure of the dream, like The World. Others were just one-nighters that left me with such an impression the dream demanded to be written out, such as in The Catalyst.

I keep writing, but I should be doing more “promoting.” So, here it is, step One in putting out to the Universal Energy “Tell my stories.”

1) The Reunion (Real-Life Suspense; strong woman character) 121 pgs. - Recalled to active duty when tensions rise in the Mid-East, former Army decoder Allison Abrams quickly becomes ensnared in a complicated web of self-doubt, longing and vengeance. 2) The Pitch (New Age/Supernatural Suspense - college baseball theme) 119 pgs. - Amidst the comforting wholesomeness of a small, mid-western town, a serial killer stalks women. 3) The Journey (New Age/Supernatural Suspense) 118 pgs. - When an estranged husband kidnaps his children, a mother must rely on spiritual guidance to find them. But, how can she do it when she can’t even find herself? (WGA,w # 1104115)

4) The One (New Age/Supernatural) appx. 120 pgs. - Searching for your soul mate is hard enough. But, when past lives interfere, how can a relationship develop when you realize your would-be mate killed you - two thousand years ago? (WGA,w # 1108404)

5) Love.com (Romantic Comedy) 116 pgs. - Can love really happen through an e-dating medium? And, just how many Mr. Wrongs does it take to find Mr. Right? A woman’s olfactory six-sense warns her of the Mr. Wrongs, and eventually she sniffs out Mr. Right. But, with diligent friends trying to save them from each other, how will “Singlemom” and “JoeConstruction” ever get together? (WGA,w # 1039199)
